On Thursday 9 July, residents elected Nanouche Umeadi in the Regent’s Park by-election.

This by-election was triggered by the Green Party selecting an ineligible candidate to be a councillor, forcing an immediate re-run and costing council taxpayers £30,000.

Nanouche will work hard for the residents of Regent’s Park on the issues that matter most – tackling antisocial behaviour and the cost of living, fighting for new affordable homes and standing up for the community on HS2.

On her election, Nanouche Umeadi said: “I’d like to thank the residents of Regent’s Park for putting their trust in me to represent them. In this election I spoke to so many residents and got the chance to tell my story. I hope to be able to bring the voices of residents to the Council and I’ll fight really hard for what they need.”
