Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have proudly called Camden home for the past 30 years. My journey from refugee to councillor has shaped my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
As a Black working-class mum, welfare rights adviser and community campaigner, I have spent the last 15 years supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our borough. Every day, I help residents facing housing problems, financial hardship and complex welfare issues, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges many Camden families experience.
I am passionate about building a fairer Camden where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. I champion diversity in leadership, working to improve representation on boards and in decision-making, and I am committed to mentoring and inspiring young people to become the next generation of leaders.
I will always stand up for better housing, high-quality education, affordable childcare, stronger SEND support and safer neighbourhoods, ensuring every resident has the opportunity to reach their full potential and no one in Camden is left behind.
